Practice Newsletter: October 2024
Contacting the Practice
Our email inboxes are no longer being monitored for appointments, routine enquiries or prescription requests. Therefore please send all your requests for appointments, prescriptions, fit notes or any admin related query via the online form only.
The process is simple, safe and easy to navigate.
How to book an appointment
All requests for appointments will be processed through the online process https://florey.accurx.com/p/G85114
- Visit our website www.wellspractice.co.uk or
- Complete a request form on https://florey.accurx.com/p/G85114
- The completed form will be triaged by our trained navigation team and you will be contacted with the outcome.
- This could be a link sent to your phone to book an appointment, a direct telephone call, self-care advice, or navigation to a service that is more appropriate to help and support you.
If your request is deemed clinically appropriate for a GP appointment, this will be categorised under three levels of urgency:
- Same day
- Within 3 working days
- Within 10 working days
If you do not have a phone or you are less able to use the online form, please contact the Practice and inform staff who will be willing to support you in completing the online form
All messages are reviewed by our trained care navigators, and we will endeavor to respond within the required timeframe.
Covid Vaccinations
If you are housebound and eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, our staff will also administer it during their visit for your flu jab. This ensures you stay protected against both flu and COVID-19 in one convenient appointment.
Flu Seasons 2024/2025
We are excited to announce that our flu clinics have started and booking links have been sent to all eligible patients. You can now easily book your flu vaccination at your convenience. We greatly appreciate those who have already booked and kept their appointments – your support makes a big difference. Please continue to support us by getting your flu vaccination at the Practice. We ordered our vaccines taking into account the number of patients on our register.
Choosing to go elsewhere may lead to excess vaccines and unnecessary wastage. If you have not booked yet, do not worry – you can still walk in or contact us directly to arrange your flu vaccination. If you have already booked, please remember to keep your appointment.
For our housebound patients, our staff will visit you at home to administer your flu vaccine. Visits will start on Tuesday 8 October 2024.
SE London Cancer Alliance Patient Advisory Group
The South East London Cancer Alliance are currently looking for people who have accessed cancer care (in particularly chemotherapy and immunotherapy services) in one of the three hospital Trusts in South East London (Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust) and are interested in sharing their experience with them and to help in planning for the future to ensure that it truly meets the needs of the people going through their services.
If you interested and able to, please consider joining a small voluntary patient advisory group made up of approximately 4-5 people, to meet regularly for up to a year. The meetings will all take place virtually via MS Teams and will last for 1 hour. The first introductory meeting will take place in April 2025 (actual date to be confirmed).
